A champion for strong and healthy families, protecting Colorado’s land, and improving our healthcare
Colorado Springs will have another fresh perspective in State politics as Randi McCallian, a community leader with a background in public health, enters the race for the 2020 Democratic nomination in Senate District 10. She is running to represent and defend the rights of Colorado’s families, to increase access to quality healthcare, and to protect Colorado’s land and vital natural resources for future generations.
Randi has worked in programs promoting community and family health at an individual and state-wide level. She’s been an educator for children with Autism, counseled parents struggling to make ends meet, and mentored new families as a birth and postpartum Doula and Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She has directed multi-state maternal and child health programs, worked in state-wide hospital quality improvement, and has a Master’s Degree in Public Health–giving her a strong understanding of what is necessary to help Coloradans thrive.
Randi volunteers as a Board member for a local community coalition and is active in defending our rights to healthcare, a clean and beautiful environment, and freedom from corporate greed and corruption in politics. She believes deeply in the strength of our democracy and sees the urgent need to elect strong representatives that will defend Coloradans’ rights.
Senate District 10 has never been represented by a woman – let alone a mother. Randi will be a courageous and bipartisan voice for families and Coloradans in our State Senate.
